Al Paris, chef/owner of Coastal Blue, is a professional chef and restaurateur with more than thirty years of experience in food preparation, supervision, design and finance. He is highly skilled in American, French, Italian and Asian cuisines, with an excellent understanding of food and beverage pairing. He is also Chef/Owner of Heirloom Restaurant in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia.
Chef Paris has been awarded Gourmet magazine’s “America’s Top Table”; the Wine Spectator’s “Award of Excellence”; and Philadelphia Magazine’s “Best Meal in Atlantic City”. Among his greatest personal accomplishments are hosting three dinners at the James Beard House NYC, being a member of the Advisory Board of the Philadelphia Art Institute Culinary Program, and winning the Culinary Competition of “Titanium Chef”.
